Our Story

About Anfa Partners

A British-registered advisory firm, rooted in Morocco

Our Name

The Meaning Behind the Name

Anfa is the ancient Berber name for Casablanca, meaning "hill" or "the summit." Settled by Berber communities around the 10th century BC, Anfa became a strategic port used by Phoenician traders and later by the Romans, who established a commercial harbour called Anfus around 15 BC under Emperor Augustus.

For millennia, this city has been a crossroads of civilisations, trade and ambition. In the 8th century, Anfa served as the capital of the independent Berber kingdom of Barghawata. After centuries of transformation, it was rebuilt in the 18th century by Sultan Mohammed ben Abdallah and renamed ad-Dār al-Bayḍāʾ (The White House) Casablanca.

We chose the name with intent. Morocco has spent three thousand years as a meeting point for traders, empires and ideas, and that is precisely how we see it today: a place where the prepared find opportunity, and where discretion is simply expected.

Anfa Partners carries that history into its work. We are a British-registered advisory firm run day to day from Casablanca, guiding private clients, family offices and international companies through the opportunities in Morocco that are rarely advertised: market entry, investment, relocation and the structuring of assets.

An old name, chosen for a simple reason: to connect the right people with the right opportunity.

How We Work

Our Approach

We sit between British professional standards and a genuine understanding of how business is done in Morocco. With people in both London and Casablanca, we can move comfortably across two legal systems and two business cultures, which is exactly where most cross-border plans either succeed or come unstuck.

Every engagement starts with a conversation rather than a pitch. Once we understand your objectives, your appetite for risk and your timeline, we put a strategy to you and then run it. Behind the scenes we coordinate the lawyers, notaries, tax advisers, agents and government contacts the work requires, so that you deal with one team and one point of contact throughout.

Our Principles

What Defines Us

The principles behind the advice we give and the way we choose to work.

Discretion

Confidentiality is the reason most of our clients come to us, and the reason they stay. We do not publish names, we do not trade on who we know, and we build each engagement so that your affairs remain entirely your own.

Precision

Advice is only worth having when it fits the facts. We learn how your wealth is held, where your interests sit and what you are actually trying to do before we put anything on paper. What you receive is counsel you can act on, never a template.

Results

We are remembered for what happens, not for what we propose: the company registered, the residence permit granted, the property bought cleanly. That is the standard we hold ourselves to on every file.

Integrity

We give independent advice, including the advice you would rather not hear. If a deal does not stand up to scrutiny, we say so. Our standing in Casablanca and London rests on getting that judgement right.

Our Team

The People Behind the Advice

The people you work with have spent their careers in international finance, Moroccan corporate law, cross-border property and regulatory compliance. You speak to them directly, not to an account manager standing in front of them.

Between them they have worked across the UK, Morocco, the Gulf and sub-Saharan Africa. That range matters when a single matter touches three jurisdictions at once, which in our experience is more often the rule than the exception.

Our Clients

Who We Serve

We take on a limited number of clients at any one time, and we tend to work with them for years rather than weeks.
